PAI Consulting is seeking a full-time Editor.
Position Description:
Tasks related to—
- Editing a variety of documents including rulemaking documents, guidance material (advisory circulars, notices, and orders), reports, marketing material, letters, manuals, presentations, work plans, proposals, and records of meetings;
and
- Performing substantive editing, copy editing, formatting, proofing, production, and distribution of documents.
Qualifications:
Required—
- U.S. citizenship;
- Strong English language skills;
- A bachelor's degree;
- Editing and formatting experience;
- Experience using style manuals; and
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word 2003/2007, including the use of styles and tables.
In addition, a candidate must be very detail-oriented and work well under tight deadlines.
Preferred—
- Experience with the U.S. Government Printing Office Style Manual and Federal Register Document Drafting Handbook, and
- Knowledge in the following:
Microsoft PowerPoint 2003/2007
Adobe Acrobat 7.0
Microsoft Excel 2003/2007
Microsoft Access 2003/2007
Microsoft Project 2003/2007
Prospective candidates will be required to take a variety of tests to show editing and formatting knowledge.
