FAA SMS "Read-Me-First" Document
Provides Overview of Documents applicable to developing a voluntary SMS, in coordination with FAA and Flight Standards Guidance.  The “Read-Me-First Document” document is laid out sequentially, beginning with the most frequently used documents. In this manner, it is designed to guide the reader through questions such as,” What do I need to do?”, “What should a robust SMS should look like?”. It then offers information, such as; “Where did SMS come from?”, “What FAA and AVS-Level guidance supports the Agency’s pursuit of SMS development (both internally and externally, (for Service Providers)?”, etc.
